BIDDING PRAYERS
PRIEST
God our Father, our world is your gift to us. It is the place where we marvel at the wonder of your creation. For those with eyes to see, the glory and wonder of your being is reflected in the beauty of what surrounds us. We ask you now to guide us towards an appreciation of what we take so much for granted.

We pray for the Church: may she be a beacon of hope throughout the world, reminding us of our responsibility to care and protect God’s precious gift of creation: (pause) … Lord hear us.
We pray for the world, our common home: that through God’s grace we may hear its cry of the damage done and be moved to protect it for future generations to enjoy: (pause) … Lord hear us.
We pray for those people facing drought, floods and storms: may God grant them strength and hope for the future as they work to adapt to changes in the climate: (pause) … Lord hear us.
We pray for our parish and local community: that through the grace of God we may hear the urgent cry of the poor and destitute and be inspired to respond with kindness and generosity: (pause) … Lord hear us.
We ask for the prayers of Mary, Queen of Creation as we pray: Hail Mary …
We pray now, in silence, for our own personal intentions.
PRIEST
God our Father, may we appreciate ever more, the gifts given to us each day. As you are generous in sharing yourself with us, may we look to the well-being of all who share your creation with us. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
