Visitors & New Parishioners

Welcome to the Parish of Christ the King and Holy Cross Churches!

A Warm and Heartfelt Welcome to All

About Us

We are a mostly rural parish which spans the border between Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire and west to the banks of the River Severn. We serve Catholics in the local communities of Thornbury, Wotton under Edge and surrounding villages.

If you visit Holy Cross or Christ the King churches, please make yourself known and you will be assured of a warm welcome. Don’t be shy, do come and say hello! We are always delighted to see new faces. If you would like to get involved and contribute to parish life in some way, that would really be appreciated – just have a word with Fr George or deacons Lawrence or Kingsley.

We’ve a number of groups within the churches and several services we provide to parishioners. If you’d like to know more about them there is a wealth of information on this website and in the What’s On & News section weekly newsletters.

The weekly newsletters are your first place for the latest information on Mass times and any special events that are going on.

Donations

We’ve various ways that you can donate towards the finances of either church.

You can set up a standing order for monthly offertory donations (you can gift aid your donations, too, if you are eligible).

You can use the Dona Contactless Giving facility available both at the entrance to CTK church and also on this website to make a donation to either church; pay for items you buy in the CTK Repository; and occasionally donate to special collections.

We also have a 100/200 Club in CTK if you want to try and win a cash prize!

Just click here on Donations to find out more!

About You

It would be very helpful if you could give us some details about yourself to help us keep in touch with you. We have a weekly bulletin that keeps you in touch with mass times and what’s going on so if you’d like a copy each week then give us your email address.
