Making Donations
The Parish needs money to operate. Just like you need an income to pay your electric, water and gas bills, the church needs money to pay its bills too. When you give you are helping the Parish care for people in our community, plus you are helping send the Gospel outwards.
‘Each one of you has received a special grace, so, like good stewards responsible for all these graces of God, put yourselves at the service of others.
(1 Peter 4:10)
If you can support the parish financially, please do.
We would really appreciate it if you would consider making either a regular financial commitment or make a one-off donation.
Our churches are wholly dependent upon the generosity of our parishioners and there are various ways you can donate.
Who to contact: Chris Hurford is the treasurer and gift aid secretary for both churches and so if you have any queries then do get in touch by:

Standing Orders
As with most churches, the weekly or monthly offertory donations are the most usual way of donating. We would like to encourage parishioners to donate by standing order and, if they are taxpayers, to gift-aid their donations, too
If you want to know more about this then click here for a copy of Gift Aid FAQs where we try to explain what’s involved.
A Gift Aid Mandate and a form to send to your bank is available for both Christ The King and Holy Cross Churches.
You can also set up your own standing order using online banking. The key information you need is:

100/200 Club
A 100/200 Club is a form of private lottery particularly popular with school PTAs and churches where subscribers pay a fixed regular amount (in our case in £5 units) via standing order and their individual numbers are entered into a monthly draw and two prizes are announced each month. Typically there are 100 or 200 subscribers (hence the name) and the proceeds of the draw go to support parish funds.
The CTK club was launched in1995 to provided much-needed financial support to the parish. We now have around 100 subscribers with the majority contributing £5 per month.
For many years the club has contributed around £4k each year to the parish and this has been a particularly welcome and generous source of funds.
If you would like to join the scheme, contact the parish administrator who will make the necessary arrangements and put you in touch with Mike Peatheyjohns who manages the scheme.
