BIDDING PRAYERS
PRIEST
Jesus Christ entrusted himself completely to his Father and everything he said and did was for his Father’s honour and glory. Let us now ask the Lord for the grace to be given the same level of trust in our lives.
READER
Let us pray for the leaders of the Church: may they commit their work to the abiding guidance of the Holy Spirit and place in Him their trust, especially in times of doubt and difficulty. Lord hear us.
We pray for those in authority: may they trust their work to God’s care and always speak with a clear Christian voice knowing that the Lord is with them in all things. Lord hear us.
For those who have grown doubtful in their faith because of failure or tragedy: May they know that the Lord is the source of their strength and consolation when they turn to him in their sorrow. Lord hear us.
Let us pray for a greater belief in the Resurrection: let us trust life after death to the Lord just as we also commit everything else in life to his loving care and concern for us. Lord hear us.
We pray with Mary who trusted the Lord always as we say: Hail Mary … etc.
We pray in silence for our own intentions to God whose wish it is that we may be with him for all eternity.
PRIEST
God our Father, we commend our prayers and our whole lives to you in loving trust and confidence. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
