Today we proudly proclaim to the world that Jesus Christ is King. Let us ask the Lord for the grace by which everyone may acknowledge his kingship.
We pray for the Church: may she continue the spreading of Christ’s kingdom to every corner of the earth. May each and every person be given the opportunity of hearing the gospel: (pause) Lord hear us.
Let us pray for a kingdom of justice, love and peace in the world: may all nations strive to live in harmony and may those who profess Christianity give a lead to others in word and action: (pause) … Lord hear us.
For those who see little purpose and meaning in life: may they realise that the Christian faith, which proclaims Jesus as Lord, will lead them from the darkness of frustration into the light of his kingdom: (pause) .. Lord hear us.
We pray for those overburdened with a sense of guilt: may they see the Lord as a shepherd who constantly seeks the lost sheep in order to bring it back to the fold: (pause) … Lord hear us.
We pray with Mary, Mother of Christ the King, as we say: Hail Mary … etc.
We pray in silence for our own intentions to Jesus Christ, the King of our hearts.
God our Father may our prayers on earth be united with those of all the saints so that, what we ask may be granted. We make our prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
