Today we proclaim that Christ is King. In his name, we ask the Lord Jesus for all the graces we need that his Kingdom may truly come.
Let us pray for the Church and all her members: may she always triumphantly proclaim the kingship of Christ by working to build a kingdom, not of riches and power, but of justice, love, and peace: (pause) …Lord hear us.
We pray for the nations of the world: may they grow in awareness of Christ’s power. May they see him as the uniting force in our world bringing peace and racial harmony: (pause) … Lord hear us.
For all those who feel lost in one way or another: may they know Christ, not only as king of their hearts, but as shepherd, too, caring for them and wanting them to be with him in all eternity: (pause) … Lord hear us.
Let us pray for the members of this community: may our lives be filled with Christ’s victory over the world. May we achieve our true inheritance by dedicating our lives to his service: (pause) … Lord hear us.
We pray with Mary, Queen of Heaven, as we say together: Hail Mary … etc.
We pray for our own intentions in silence.
God our Father, you have chosen us as a royal priesthood. Hear our prayers and help us to follow your Son in the ways of compassion and justice. We ask this through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
