BIDDING PRAYERS
PRIEST
We are a renewed Christian family who share in the life of the Risen Lord. Let us ask God our Father for all the graces we need to live our Christian lives to the full.
READER
We pray for the Church: may she ever remain faithful, as did the early Church, to the teaching of the Apostles, to the Brotherhood, to the Breaking of Bread and to the Prayers: … (pause) Lord hear us.
We pray for the world in which we live: may our Christian witness to the Resurrection be a leaven through which all may learn to believe that Christ is truly risen: … (pause) Lord hear us.
We pray for those of wavering faith: may they believe, like Saint Thomas, through contact with the body of Christ, which is the Church: … (pause) Lord hear us.
We pray for this community of believers: may we, throughout this and every year, be witnesses to the power of the Resurrection, by lives full of joy and hope: … (pause) Lord hear us.
We pray with Mary, Mother of the Redeemer, as we say: Hail Mary … etc.
In silence now we make our own personal prayers in the name of our Risen Lord.
PRIEST
God our Father, increase our faith in the Resurrection of your Son and help us to be witnesses to our world. We make our prayer through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
