BIDDING PRAYERS
PRIEST
Jesus Christ died and rose again so that, in him, we might find new life. Let us ask the Lord, in the power of the Resurrection, for all the needs of the Church and the world.
READER
We pray for the Church and all her members: amid all her trials and difficulties, may she have the confidence to persevere in the firm knowledge that her Lord and Saviour has already conquered sin and death: Lord hear us.
Let us pray for doctors, nurses, and all those who work for the sick: may their healing skills on the human body and mind serve to highlight the saving work of Jesus Christ, who gives us new life through his Resurrection: Lord hear us
For those afraid of death and dying: may they look to the Lord of life who will comfort them in all their fears. May he be with them in all their trials: Lord hear us
We pray for all the deceased members of our community and families: may the power of the risen Jesus, which gave them grace in this life, grant them the reward of his presence in the next: Lord hear us.
We pray with Mary, Mother of the Risen Jesus, as we say: Hail Mary ….
In silence, we pray for our own intentions to God our Father, whose greatest happiness is the fulfilment of ours.
PRIEST
God our Father, we make our prayers to you in the name of the Church and all her members, with a confidence that comes from knowing that you love us. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
